Carma Star (Ex-Coma Star) plays some first shows in 2000 and one year later the trio records his first album in Los Angeles. “Headroom Of Conscience” is released in early 2003 in Europe and Australia and Carma Star plays shows in the US and in Europe. The band around singer and bassist Emmi then almost breaks up because of internal matters.
2 years later Carma Star restarts writing songs and in 2006 the threepiece band with Chris Specker, Emmi Lichtenhahn and Jaro Milko records a new album. “Where My Soul Begins To Bend” is a brutally honest second statement of Carma Star. With such powerful and loud material the band is ready to go on the road again! If you like stuff like Stone Temple Pilots, Army Of Anyone, Deftones, Stabbing Westward or early works of Foo Fighters you should definitely check out this band. As all bandmembers collected experiencies over many years with acts like Medication (Logan Mader, Whit Crane) or Monochrome they are great musicians. And after all they came together to write this killer album. |

Fredy Rotten is the new singer-songwriter project of Zatokrev’s singer and guitar-player Frederyk Rotter. He recorded a 2 song demo in the beginning of the year 2008 and played a bunch of shows – most of them only with acoustic guitar and his voice. His 10-track debut album „Even If We Sleep“ has been recorded at the Megapeng studio in Basel and will see the light of deliverance in spring 2010. In contrast to the mighty noise-doom band Zatokrev, Fredy Rotten is reminiscent of a silent, untrodden river. Fredy Rotten will go on Europe tour in spring/summer. Check our gig section... |

This band exsists since 2000. After they recorded their first demo in 2004, they played several concerts around Switzerland, Austria and France supporting international acts on their single shows like Caliban, Blood For Blood, Gurd, Harmful etc. The music of Palmer is hard to describe. I would say they’re mixing some straight metal with jazzy and spacy stuff! The debut album was recorded in early 2007 and will be released through Czar Of Crickets around November! |

The swiss band Zatokrev was founded by Silvio Spadino (drums), Marco Grementieri (bass/samples) and Frederyk Rotter (guitar/vocals) in Basel in April 2002 to deliver a heavy load of dragging metal, inspired by several artists like My Dying Bride, Burning Witch, Neurosis, Godflesh or Entombed. In 2003 they recorded a demo and started playing gigs. Through strong live performances, they built up a reputation as an intense live band. After they recorded the selftitled debut album, Zatokrev had a release on the English label Codebreaker in September 2004 and got only positive reviews in magazines around whole Europe. Later the album came out in North America and Canada on Earache, where it also got excellent critics. In this period of time the band played festivals, short tours and single shows around France, Germany, Austria, Holland, Slovenia and Switzerland, where they shared the stage with Dillinger Escape Plan, Chimaira, Esoteric, Kill The Thrill, Cataract and many others. The biggest festivals that Zatokrev played were the Metalcamp in Slovenia (Slayer, Obituary, Anthrax, Soulfly, Kataklysm), Rock Oz Arenes in Switzerland (Marilyn Manson) and the Metal Dayz also in Switzerland (Slayer, Nile, Testament). In the End of 2006 Zatokrev got reinforcement from the french man Stench to play second guitar, what makes their shows even more intenese. The new long-player called Bury The Ashes will be released worldwide over Firebox Records in february/march 2007, except in Switzerland the album came out on Czar Of Crickets Productions. |

Contempt for the insidious and weak traits inherent in the human race led to the formation of Treachery, the US based three piece who draw just as much from the eerie realms of Dark Ambient and Doom as they do from stripped down, cacophonous Black Metal. This triangulation of hate formed out of unexpected territory, the world of Industrial Electronics and Breakcore, where each member holds well respected solo projects of their own. Coming together on front-woman Hecate's own label, Zhark International, this project utilizes all of their strengths whilst broadening their field of impending annihilating impact. Debuting with a self-titled five tracker, Treachery presents a full range of their divergent tastes indulging the listener in a tumultuous ride into ever overcast vistas. Rachael Kozak, aka Hecate, has orchestrated an immense premiere which we at Czar of Crickets are proud to introduce. Known most recently in the Metal scene for her work with the infamous Belphegor, she has been building stronger alliances within the Black Metal domain for years since her last full length entitled "Brew Hideous" was hailed by electronics fans and Metalheads alike . Her label mates and band members, Abelcain and Slutmachine, take their vision of bleak and ripping sound to the next level with live guitars and bass rounding off her extreme vocal style. A seamless integration of synthetic and organic layers seethe and howl leaving you one step closer to the imminence of your own Death throws.... Treachery now exists not only as the lowest circle of Hell, but a force to be reckoned with on this decrepit Earth. October will deliver the next logical step in vicious sonics - all classifications aside. |
