Verwaltzen

We are happy to add VERWALTZEN to our roster. They released their new selftitled EP by themselves in good old DIY style, but because we love this band so much and because they will release their next soundcarrier via Czar Of Revelations we want to support them. Check them out on their Bandcamp and order their new CDEP directly there or at the CzarShop.

Also check out the review we wrote about Verwaltzen's EP:

"When I listened to it for the first time the first riff of the opening song "Eyes Like Steaks" immediately catched me. Combined with the following immensely authentic sounding vocals, it made me think of some kind of total stoner hit. Although in many ways I don't apreciate the persistent stoner hype, this sound made me curious to hear more and actually it turned out to be a very diverse, heavy, creative and dynamic mix of stoner and the more alternative side of hardcore with passion for good melodies. I even assert that I hear elements from Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals (which in my eyes is Manson's only really interesting record), from 90ies Grunge, Mike Patton's Faith No More & Tomahawk or even Nomeansno from the "Wrong" era. Non of these examples really can catch Verwaltzen's unique spirit, as even during listening the rest of the record you'll find many other different sound scapes from various genres and feelings in down and uptempos. This EP is pounding, sick, crazy and beautiful at the same time. With the closing track "Still Got Feelings" Verwaltzen prove that they are fantastic songwriters with love for details and unconventional harmonies. This last track should have been the ballad of the last, not so convincing, Faith No More record. It would have turned out to be totally outstanding. Ok, let's stop the boring comparisons. This is a striking EP of a very talented, authentic and trends-ignoring band. This last EP is highly recommended."

Krane is a four-piece band from Basel that was already founded in 2012. Although the first album „ouroboros" was released after the first year, the band was only able to play very few concerts due to various fluctuations and thus remained largely unknown. For two of the band founders the following years were marked by the desperate search for fellow musicians to keep the project alive. This long-lasting search, as well as a flooding in the practice space, could not force Krane to its knees, and two new members were found in 2016/2017. At long last the band is now releasing their second album „Pleonexia" on the label Czar of Crickets. While the first album revolves around psychosomatics and the accompanying emotional effects, „Pleonexia" takes up the topic of recurring sequences and patterns of warfare in illegal resource conflicts. With „Pleonexia", Krane tries to show these sequences very soberly and neutrally and to musically implement them far away from war glorification. It was important for all band members to record the new album on their own. Thus, „Pleonexia" was created in the band’s own practice space without any digital sound generators. Mastering was handed over to Simon of BlackArtAudio. Stylistically Krane’s new album is to be placed in the postmetal/- rock genre.

Cobalt Powder is taken from the forthcoming album ORGA - out Sep. 15th via Cyclic Law & Czar Of Revelations. Preorder directly via CzarShop

ROAMER is the band of the Swiss singer and composer Samuel Blatter. He has been writing songs since he was a kid. During the last ten years he has found his place in the Swiss music scene as a composer and producer for theatre/dance as well as a keyboarder and singer in different bands. In his songs he is not only processing his personal story but also a large range of musical influences covering early rock n’roll, post-rock, kraut-rock, noise, trip-hop, free jazz, idm or industrial rock. His music is marked by the struggle between personal misfortune and high spirits. Love, faith and the urge to dance are competing for influence on the sound with the dark sides of life resulting in a highly suspenseful and energetic but brutally compelling music. ROAMER came into life in 2008 to strive for their unique sound. This eclectic approach is also apparent in the musical background of his fellow band members which are influenced by idols like Sonic Youth, Melvins or Led Zeppelin. ROAMER has released two EP’s so far. For their upcoming tour in October they will join forces with their longtime friend MiWi La Lupa from the US who has contributed some beautiful vocals on the upcoming ROAMER album, which is going to be released via Czar Of Revelations in early 2018.
